Pantheon and Platform SH make it really easy to host Drupal sites. However, because of the convenience they offer, they can be a bit expensive.
On the other hand, you can host your Drupal sites on Digital Ocean, AWS, Google Cloud etc. These will likely be less expensive, but you may need to fiddle around a lot more with security hardening, file permisions etc.
If you want something somewhere in the middle - have you looked into Cloudways?
Cloudways allows you to host your Drupal sites on Linode, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud, AWS, and Vultr, but all managed through an easy-to-use web interface (not a chmod in sight).
It comes with modern PHP, Composer, Drush, Git, Varnish, Memcached, Nginx - all that good
I've used them for several Drupal projects. Quite nice. Cheap too.
Note: This is an affiliate link. The odd commission here-and-there helps a lot with the Drush Commands running costs.
